Connecticut Pistol Permit Course
A Connecticut Pistol Permit is required by law to carry and purchase handguns in the state of Connecticut.
Thank you for your interest in the Connecticut Pistol Permit/NRA Basic Pistol Course. We provide advanced and basic firearms training programs that introduces law abiding adults to the sport of shooting. We have created a safe, friendly and fun environment for you to learn in. All instructors are NRA certified and class sizes are kept small so that you will have a successful and positive experience. No experience is necessary for this course. NRA Basic Pistol Course
This is a one day safety training course that will meet and exceed the requirements put forth the State of Connecticut Department of Public Safety for those wishing to get pistol permit. The course fee is $125.00 per person and includes use of firearms, ammunition, eye and ear protection and all training materials. The course runs from 9:00 am to approximately 5:30pm. The first portion of the course is conducted in our classroom. The classroom portion consists of PowerPoint, hands-on and practical exercise where all students have the opportunity to gain familiarity with both revolver and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge, and shooting fundamentals. The classroom portion also includes a multiple choice, true/false exam that is open book. Live fire experience will take place immediately after at local public indoor range.
Course Requirements:
- Men and women who are 21 years old and possess a clean criminal background
- Pre-registration and course payment are mandatory to reserve a seat
